The governing body of the Students' Union is the Trustee Board, which comprises upto 15 trustees: some are elected students, others are elected non-executives recruited through an interview process.

The Trustee Board has a number of committees that report to it, responsible for discrete parts of the governance of the organisation.

General Meetings of student members (Ordinary Members) of the Students' Union include an AGM each year and specially called extraordinary meetings from time to time (EGMs). All students can participate in General Meetings, provided they have not opted-out of the Students' Union. Membership of the Students' Union is automatic upon registration with the College.
