We have over 20 clubs, societies, and projects which are all student-led and student run, and they play a significant role to student life here at Birkbeck and the Students' Union is committed to providing Birkbeck students high quality activities and opportunities during their study. Getting involved in student activities is a fantastic way to meet new people, learn a new skill, or to simply have fun!
The Students' Union supports a varied range of activities. Whether you're interested in competing against other universities in sports or raising awareness about a particular charitable cause, we've got something for everyone. However, having a properly structured and well-managed student-led Club or Society requires a lot of time and commitment.
It is important that you read all the information available here to help you plan and develop your Club and Society so that it is properly structured and complies with legal requirements and other regulations set by the Students' Union and the College. Birkbeck Students' Union employs one member of staff to administrate and oversee the development of student activities and opportunities. The Activities Coordinator coordinates the day-to-day administration of student activities in amongst their other duties.
The Activities Coordinator works with the Student Officer Team on the overall direction and strategy of Clubs and Societies development.
