The Birkbeck Women's campaign strives to be an intersectional representative body that reflects the needs and interests of all self defining women on campus.
The campaign is headed up by your BBKSU Women's Officer, and each year will have open committee spaces for those who wish to become more involved.
Ultimately, our events this year will be shaped by our members and how they want to be represented on campus.
Membership is free & is open to all Birkbeck Students; there will be events & caucuses that are specifically only open to those who self-define as women, including (if they wish) those with complex gender identities which include ‘woman’, and those who experience oppression as women. Some of our events may have small entry fees to help cover the costs of the activity; there will also be opportunities to donate to the campaign to help us provide bigger & better events. The Women's Campaign will always strive to create an inclusive space for all, regardless of financial constraints, so if you have any concerns regarding participation speak to us!
If any of what we’ve said appeals to you, hit the ugly orange Join Now button to become a member. Once you’re a member you can join the members’ FB group/twitter for updates, & you’ll receive emails to your Union registered email address. If you’re interested in joining the interim summer committee, email us!

By joining the Birkbeck SU Women's campaign you recognise that while all genders are welcome, there may be times where we will be promoting a "safe space" which may not make all events suitable all students. Safe spaces are an important part of liberation so that students can self organise on the issues that affect them.
