As the Student Union Sabbatical Officer Elections draw nearer, candidates are reminded of the crucial step of submitting their campaign artwork. This artwork serves as a visual representation of their candidacy, conveying their vision, ideas, and manifesto to the student body. Here are some essential reminders and guidelines to ensure a smooth and effective submission process.
Submission Deadline: Candidates must adhere to the deadline for submitting their campaign artwork. Late submissions will not be accepted, so it's imperative to mark the deadline date and time on your calendar and plan accordingly.
Using artwork that has not been approved by the Students' Union will result in disciplinary and could lead to disqualification. The deadline for submission is 16th of February at 10am.
Artwork Information: Candidate posters/artwork will be displayed on the digital screens across campus. It is therefore very important that you adhere to the correct size and file format (below). You can use the free version of Canva to create your artwork, but please let us know if you have any issues with this
Artwork Rules:
- Your artwork must measure 1920x1080px (landscape digital screen) or 1080x1920px (portrait digital screen) and be submitted as a .png file
- Must be approved by SU before it can be used.
- Must not use artwork/posters until voting has opened (no early campaigning!).
- You can use the Students' Union Logo, which can be found here.
- You must not use the University Logo.
- Your artwork must not contain any hate speech or foul language.
Content Appropriateness: Campaign artwork should reflect positively on the candidate and the Students' Union as a whole. Ensuring that the artwork is respectful, inclusive, and free from offensive or discriminatory content is essential. This ensures that the campaign maintains a positive and constructive atmosphere.
Quality Check: Candidates should thoroughly review their artwork before submission to identify and correct any errors or discrepancies. The artwork should effectively convey the candidate's message and resonate with the target audience, so attention to detail is crucial. Once artwork is approved you cannot alter the artwork.
