The Birkbeck Students' Union is here to support YOU and one way we can help is by giving you all the tips you may need to focus on your wellbeing while at university. With many things affecting students such as the cost of living, Union Strikes and all the normal student issues, knowing how to look after different areas of your wellbeing can do a world of good. On this page, you will find information, tips, student recommendations and lots of other advice you may find helpful during your time here at Birkbeck and beyond.

William Sarenden is our Welfare Student lead. He is here to represent the student body and your ideas on how we can improve the facilities within the University. With Mental Health issues on the rise and many student organisations putting out research that suggests it’s likely to continue, a focus on student welfare is needed now more than ever. Wellbeing has always been important to the Students' Union with part of our new strategy focused on increasing and signposting wellbeing opportunities, increasing participation, and the development of our services for students to have the best experience while they study.

If you have any thoughts, concerns or questions about general student welfare issues, you can drop William an email here: w.sareden@bbk.ac.uk .There are 6 more Officers you may wish to get in contact with if you feel your concerns are more suited to specific areas and you can find them HERE. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Below are a few different information tabs that you may find useful while here at Birkbeck. But if you are looking for more direct support information, head to our student support page or contact our Support Service.
