On July 1st, members and friends of the Birkbeck Students’ Union had the wonderful honour and privilege to take part in the London Pride Parade. This parade marked 51 years since the first march for LGBT+ rights in London, in 1972. This year’s theme was “Never March Alone” in support of the trans and non-binary community.
22nd June marks National Windrush Day, and 2023 marks the 75th anniversary of the HMT Empire Windrush arriving in Britain on 22 June 1948. Ikenna Okoye-Ahaneku, Black Student's Liberation Officer, highlights five Black Caribbean people who have inspired him by making a difference in the UK.

The 9th of March is University Mental Health Day.
