Dear Birkbeck Students,
The Board of Trustees, in consultation with the Operational Manager and Activities Manager, has made the decision that the Students’ Union is currently unable to accept or develop new student group proposals.
This decision has been taken due to current staffing constraints, including the temporary absence of three senior members of staff. As a result, the organisation does not presently have the operational capacity required to adequately support the development and oversight of new student groups.
This position will be kept under review, and updates will be provided once staffing levels and capacity have been sufficiently restored. The SU team greatly values your commitment to enriching student communities, and we're hoping to resume our support to new student groups as soon as we can. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this period.
