Exciting news! The Student Union Leadership Elections are just around the corner, offering you a chance to make a real difference at Birkbeck. Whether you're passionate about improving student life, representing your peers, or driving positive change, now is your opportunity to step up and lead! 

Roles Up for Election: 

Paid Sabbatical Officer Roles (21 hours per week)*

These part-time, paid positions run from July 2026 to June 2027, allowing you to dedicate a year to representing students and driving meaningful change. 

*Note for international students on visas: Hours can be adjusted to 20 hours per week to comply with visa regulations. Candidates must have the legal right to work the UK.

 

Society Committees and Student Networks 


If you’re passionate about a particular society or network, you can also run for a leadership position here!

  • Nominations Open: 26th January - 8th February 
    Nominate yourself and start your journey to leadership. 

  • Voting Period: 16th - 23rd February 
    Engage with students, campaign for votes, and share your vision. 

  • Election Results Day: 25th February 
    Find out who will lead the charge for the next academic year!
