The time has come to make a difference at our university! Student elections are here, and we have several exciting opportunities for you to get involved, represent your peers, and drive positive change. Below are the different roles up for grabs:
1. Academic Representatives
Academic Representatives play a crucial role in representing the voices of students in their specific modules and programmes. This is an opportunity for you to collaborate directly with lecturers to address student concerns, enhance the learning experience, and help shape the future of your module or programme.
Important Note: This is not an elected position—all students are encouraged to participate! If you're interested, simply let your lecturer know by 13th October.
2. Student Head of Faculty
We are thrilled to introduce a brand-new role: Student Head of Faculty! This prestigious position is open to one undergraduate (UG) and one postgraduate (PG) student per faculty. Only six students in total will have the opportunity to hold this title, gaining exclusive benefits and opportunities to work closely with faculty leadership to represent the student body.
If you have a strong voice, leadership skills, and a passion for enhancing the student experience within your faculty, this role is perfect for you!
This role is elected on the Students Union Website.
3. Student Parliament Positions
Are you interested in driving university-wide change? Then consider running for a position in the Student Parliament! All roles, including Chair, are up for election this year. As a member of the Student Parliament, you will have the opportunity to lead important discussions, influence policy, and ensure that the needs and concerns of the student body are addressed across the university.
